Harambee Stars striker Michael Olunga bagged his 15th league goal of the season as Kashiwa Reysol ran 3-0 winners over Gamba Osaka in a Japanese J1 League game staged on Wednesday afternoon at the Kashiwa Stadium.

Olunga who had missed Kashiwa last two games continued from where he left when he put the hosts into the lead two minutes into the game. Esaka was to double Kashiwa’s lead in the 40th minute before completing his brace and the club’s third in the 62nd minute.

The win propels Kashiwa to fourth on the log with 26 points; 15 points below leaders Kawasaki Frontale who have played a game more.

Olunga who managed to play in the entire game will hope that he can extend the lead in the top scorers’ chart when they come against Sagan Tosu in their next league game slated for 13 September.
