Football Kenya Federation (FKF) will open disciplinary proceedings against Gor Mahia chairman Mr. Ambrose Rachier.

Rachier has been one of the club chairmen yet to sign the Startime deal endorsed by FKF and in a communication sent to media rooms late on Wednesday, the Federation said Rachier had brought the game into disrepute after writing a letter to Startimes withdrawing the endorsement given by secretary Sam Ochola.

“At the same time, the FKF president said disciplinary proceedings will be opened against Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier for bringing the game into disrepute.

“Rachier wrote a letter to StarTimes withdrawing a letter the club’s Secretary-General had written to FKF endorsing the broadcast deal,” part of the communication noted.

The move comes a day after Rachier wrote a letter saying that the club had not endorsed any deal as purported by Ochola earlier in the month.

The tug of war comes a day after FKF had slotted Gor Mahia in their fixture roster where they were slated to take Ulinzi Stars this Saturday at the Nayo National Stadium.

Gor Mahia is set to leave the country too over the weekend to face Al-Hilal of Sudan in a friendly on Wednesday with the trip set to be approved by FKF.
