Michael Olunga teammate Medhi Benatia is set to return to Serie A Italy with the defender said to be a target of Parma.

According to Sky Sports, the Italian side have contacted the agents of the 34 year old who previously featured for Juventus.

Parma finds itself in 19th place after 17 games with only 12 points (2 wins, 6 draws and 9 defeats).

Meanwhile, Al-Duhail manager Sabri Lamushi has backed Olunga after his debit last week ended with no goals despite having been on a sensational form for his Japanese side Kashiwa Reysol.

Olunga was thrown from the start in their midweek clash with table leaders Al Sadd (which ended in a 2-1 loss) and according to his coach, the Kenyan was still adapting with his new teammates but is confident that the goals will flow for the Kenyan.

“The player Olunga made his debut Al Sadd and did not show his known scoring power, but he will be great addition to the team as he was the top scorer in the Japanese League. He is still trying to adapt with his teammates,” the coach said.

The next match for Olunga and his team is a clash against Qatar SC on Tuesday 19, 2020.
