Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama was red-carded as Montreal Impact held Atlanta United to a 2-2 draw in an MLS game staged on Thursday morning.
With the game ending scoreless in the first half, Montreal took a 53rd-minute lead through Toye before doubling their advantage via Camacho ten minutes later. Atalanta however had other ideas as they pulled a goal back in the 65th minute through Josef Martinez before Moreno tucking home a penalty to put the scores level.

Tensions started to flare around the 80th-minute mark as Martinez and Wanyama started shoving each other and were both subsequently booked. After a video review, the official recalled both yellow cards, opting instead for both Wanyama and Martinez to be given straight red cards.
The red cards came after goal scorer Camacho had received his marching orders in the 73rd minute.
The draw leaves Montreal at position eight of the MLS log with 23 points after 17 games with their next game coming up against DC United on 9 August 2021.
