Kenyan Premier League giants Gor Mahia are set to appoint former Uganda Cranes head coach Sebastien Desabre.

The club is currently without a head coach after parting ways with Belgian Andreas Spiers last month but with the season set to Kick Off soon, they need to find someone to lead the team as they seek to wrestle the title from Tusker FC.

According to Goal, Desabre who led Cranes in the 2019 African Cup of Nation is the favorite to land the job despite a few names having expressed interest in taking over the team.

Desbare wealth of experience in African football is said to be something that puts him above the rest having been in charge of Ivory Coast’s ASEC Mimosas, Esperance of Tunisia, Coton Sport of Cameroon, Algeria’s JS Saoura, current African champions Wydad Casablanca and Ismaily of Egypt.

The French tactician was in charge of Uganda Cranes between 2017 and 2019 when he left and were eliminated by Senegal in the Round of 16 in the 2019 AFCON competition.
