Mathare United Women team has appointed former Harambee Starlets captain Aluoch Ann as their new head coach.

 

Aluoch comes in to replace Mary Adhiambo who has since moved to Emerging Stars Football Academy in an unmentioned capacity.

In a statement, the club noted: “Congratulations to Coach Mary Adhiambo who leaves our team today to take on her new role at Emerging Stars Football Academy.

 

“The team’s management is appreciative of the time that Coach Mary has spent at the club. We are grateful to Mary for what she has achieved in her time as Head Coach of the Club.

 

“Thanks Coach Mary for your support and dedication to the team. All the best in your future endeavors. Once a MYSA always a MYSA. Congratulations Ann Aluoch for your appointment as the Head Coach.”

 

On his part, club secretary Henry Majale said: “Mary has humbly and passionately led MUWFC to be one of the greatest and biggest club in the country. Her absence will be noticed, but her expertise be tapped from time to time as she is a MYSA. We wish you all the best in your next journey. Make us Proud.”
