Former Vihiga Queens coach Alexander Alumirah has been named as the new Harambee Starlets head coach.
Alumirah who has been in Tanzania with Tiger Queens will be assisted by Thika Queen’s Benter Achieng and former Starlets captain Ann Aluoch with Martha Karimi being the team manager.

According to Football Kenya Federation (FKF) caretaker committee chairman Mr Aaron Rngera in the Monday presser, the technical bench has a contact with the national team until the end of their mandate.
On his appointment, Alumirah said: “It is a great honor and I look forward to guiding this team to the best of my ability, and with the full support of the FKF CC, we shall guide this team to AWCON qualification.
“I have a responsibility to develop a philosophy for the women’s national football team and I will liaise with coaches to ensure that there is an elaborate plan for women’s football, a plan for posterity.”
The team goes into camp on Tuesday 25 January 2022 for their crucial AWCON 2022 qualifier against Uganda in February.
