Kenya’s Harambee Stars beat Seychelles 5-0 in a 2026 World Cup Qualifying game staged at the MISC Kasarani on Tuesday 9th September 2025.
After losing to the Gambia in their last outing, Kenya knew that they had to restore the trust of the fans with a win despite the game on Tuesday being a mere formality.

The home side were 4-0 up at half time with on son Ryan Ogam opening the scoring proceedings just after six minutes. Collins Sichenje was to double Stars lead in what was a carbon copy of the first goal after both nodded in free kicks delivered by Duke Abuya.
Ogam completed his brace before team captain Michael Olunga scored from the spot to make it four after the former had been brought down in the box.
The hosts continued with their impressive outing in the second half with Olunga heading in a fifth from close range before being substituted to a standing ovation; his second goal seeing him match the goal record tally of legend Dennis Oliech who bagged 34 goals for Harambee Stars.
Head coach Benni McCarthy gave a late run to some of his fringe players with Kenya walking home with all the points ahead of their final game against Burundi next month.
