The Administration Police Service (APS) has promoted Tusker FC’s Safety and Security Officer (SSO) Austin Oduor Otieno.
According to the club, the promotion came after Oduor successfully completed a six month intensive Leadership and Command Course at the National Police College, Embakasi A Campus.

Beyond overseeing national team fixtures and high-profile domestic matches, Oduor played a key role in the safety and security planning for the Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) draw early last year, as well as during the final tournament, before departing for his leadership training.
Oduor has also worked closely with fellow CAF NSSOs, Evans Ocharo and Kingsley Litali, in capacity-building initiatives aimed at developing more safety and security officers across all tiers of football in Kenya, alongside colleagues from the uniformed services.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies from the University of Nairobi and is currently pursuing his MA in International Security.
