Tanzania returned to winning ways on Tuesday, hammering Djibouti 7-0 in their second Group A match at the ongoing CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) CECAFA Qualifiers in Tanzania.
The hosts had lost their opening game against Kenya but ensured that they thumped Djibouti to boost their qualification chances in the next round.

Simba SC striker Valentino Mashaka was the game’s star man as he netted a second-half hat-trick with Sabri Kondo grabbing a brace in the game. Other goals by the Tanzanians were scored by Jammy Jammy and Nickson Mosha.
Djibouti are virtually out of the tournament after losing 3-1 to Sudan in their opening game of the tournament.
In another game on Tuesday staged at the Azam Complex, Sudan defeated Rwanda 1-0 in the second Group A match of the day with the all-important goal bagged by Monzer Abdo Khamies Tiya in the sixth minute.
On Wednesday, defending Champions Uganda will be up against Burundi at the KMC Stadium, while South Sudan take on Ethiopia at the Azam Complex.
