Sofapaka FC head coach Ezekiel Akwana has blamed the match officials for his side’s 1-0 loss to Kenya Police FC in their Sportpesa Premier League 2025/26 match staged on Wednesday, 5th November 2025 at the Police Sacco Stadium.

Edward “Ondimo” Omondi returned to haunt his former club after netting the decisive goal in the 40th minute. Police FC, who recently parted ways with their historic coach, Etienne Ndayiragije, the man who delivered their first-ever title in the 24/25 season, held on to the lone goal to secure a crucial win.

“He was being forced to caution players, I heard him being told by the assistant referee to caution a police player, but he refused, and for my players, he reacted very quickly,” Akwana stated.
