The second edition of the FKF Youth League Championship concluded over the weekend in different centres across the country.
A total of 786 teams participated in this year’s edition with Women Representative Kerubo Momanyi saying that the games are a good platform for young talents to showcase what they can do.

“The games are running across the country and the first thing we need to appreciate is the platform this competition is giving to the young players. It gives us the platform to keep scouting in the country,” Momanyi said.
Her sentiments were echoed by the Federation Deputy President McDonald Mariga who feels Kenya will have strong national teams if the league can be played frequently.
“We have to do it often because this is the perfect stage to nurture players. We wont be picking just layers from one place for the national team because we will be spotting players from different regions,” Mariga added.
