Kenya Police Bullets began their FKF Women Premier League title defence with a hard fought 2-1 win over debutants Kayole Starlets.
Bullets having parted ways with head coach Beldine Odemba ushered the new season with Rama Vijago as their new tactician and they wasted no time in reminding everyone about their abilities when they took a 8th minute lead through an own goal by Lavyne Achola.

The law enforcers doubled their lead in the 14th minute for a 2-0 half time but Kayole got a late consolation from Euphasier Shilwatso in stoppage time.
In other games of round one, Kibera Soccer Women held Ulinzi Starlets to a goalless draw with Trinity Starlets emerging 4-2 winners over Kisumu AllStarlets in a match staged in Gilgil.
Trinity goals were scored by Muteshi Elizabeth, Mukhwana Eglay who grabbed a brace and Mmbohi Siplenda. Starlets consolations were grabbed by Atieno Sharon and Sitei Daisy.
Zetech overcame Kisped 2-1 with Anyango Monaliza and Chaviha Sheril scoring for the hosts where Okwado Cynthia grabbed the consolation for the Kisumu based side.
