Trinity Starlets surged to the summit of the FKF Women’s Premier League after a commanding 4–2 victory over Kisped Queens at the Combani Polytechnic Grounds on Saturday November 08.

The hosts went into the clash buoyed by an unbeaten start to the season, having registered two wins and a draw from their opening three matches. Kisped, by contrast, were desperate for their first points of the campaign after losing all three of their previous fixtures.

Knowing a win would send them top of the standings, at least until Vihiga Queens and Kenya Police Bullets play on Sunday, Trinity began on the front foot, dictating possession and creating early half-chances that went begging.

Their pressure finally paid off in the 27th minute when Splender Mmbohi curled home a superb free kick to break the deadlock. Barely a minute later, Eglay Mukwana doubled the advantage, punishing Kisped’s lapse in concentration. The visitors, however, pulled one back in the 41st minute to make it 2–1 at halftime.

Substitute Beril Kitungulu then sealed the points in the 74th minute with Trinity’s fourth, before Kisped netted a consolation four minutes later. The victory lifted Trinity Starlets to the top of the table on goal difference, continuing their impressive early-season form.
