Gor Mahia assistant coach Bismark Kobi is wary of Sofapaka FC threat ahead of their faceoff on Saturday 31, January 2025.
The league leaders have been on a brilliant form and comes against a Sofapaka side who are fighting relegation but according to Kobi, they watched their opponents against AFC Leopards and cant underrate them.

“We watched their game against Leopards and they are a good team. From what we saw, we already have a plan on how to approach the match. We can’t reveal much, but we will be serious about it. They are a strong side, and we will need to play above ourselves if we are to beat them,” Kobi is quoted by the club’s portal.
The Ghanaian further revealed that they gave their players a two day break after their last game and that they have been working on areas they fell short in.
“From our last game, the players did well, but there are some technical areas we need to improve, and we have already started working on those. We gave the players two days off, and today we began preparations for Saturday. We are adding more seriousness to our training, and we will be ready,” he added.
A win for Gor at Nyayo will see them stretch their lead at the top of the table as their closest challengers AFC Leopards wont be in action this weekend.
