Gor Mahia midfielder Enock Morrison is the latest Gor Mahia to be involved in an accident ahead of the Mashemeji Derby

Gor Mahia trio of Michael Kibwage, Shariff Musa and Enock Morrison are among four players who have made it to the nomination list of the Sportpesa league Player of the Month for October.

The trio, together with AFC Leopards defender Vincent Mahiga will fight for a sum of sh 50,000 in a contest that will be decided by fans.

In statistics released by Tisini, the company tasked with providing numbers on the nominees, Mahiga made 22 clearances, 10 interceptions, completed 11 progressive passes, registered a 79% pass accuracy, and made 5 blocks as his side went unbeaten in the month.

Kibwage on the other hand made five blocks at the heart of Gor’s defence, made nine progressive passes, and maintained a 90% pass accuracy.

Ghanaian Morrison featured in all three of Gor Mahia’s matches in October where they kept a clean sheet in all. According to the stats, he made 16 progressive passes, seven interceptions and registered an impressive 90% pass accuracy.

For Shariff, who has received his maiden call up to the national team, the winger scored one goal and provided an assist in the month. He had a 92% pass accuracy, created five goal scoring chances and attempted 13 crosses in just three matches.
