The disputes involving two matches in the Sportpesa League has been resolved by the FKF Leagues and Competitions Committee.
In a communication on Friday, the Federation decided to uphold the 1-1 draw between Gor Mahia and Nairobi United and handed Murangá Seal all the points in their 2-1 win over Ulinzi Stars last week.

“The FKF Leagues and Competitions Committee has issued its rulings on two abandoned SportPesa League fixtures involving Nairobi United FC vs Gor Mahia FC and Ulinzi Stars FC vs Murang’a SEAL FC,” the Federation said in a statement. “The Committee upheld a 1–1 draw in the Nairobi United FC vs Gor Mahia FC match, while the Ulinzi Stars FC vs Murang’a SEAL FC fixture was awarded to Murang’a SEAL FC. Matters relating to misconduct and any applicable sanctions have been referred to the FKF Disciplinary Committee.”
In its deliberations in Match Number 132 (Nairobi United v Gor Mahia), the Committee ruled that the match was abandoned due to force majeure. In accordance with the FKF Rules and Regulations, the result at the time of abandonment has been upheld as a 1–1 draw. Matters relating to misconduct during the match have been referred to the FKF Disciplinary Committee for further action where applicable.
In Match Number 162 between Ulinzi Stars FC vs Murang’a SEAL FC, the Committee determined that the match was abandoned following Ulinzi Stars FC’s refusal to resume play. As per the FKF Rules and Regulations, the match has been awarded to Murang’a SEAL FC, with the official result recorded as Ulinzi Stars FC 0–2 Murang’a SEAL FC. The same case has since been forwarded to the FKF Disciplinary Committee and the Referees Committee for further consideration of applicable sanctions.
