English giants Manchester United have landed the only none Premier League club remaining in the EFL Cup competition Charlton Athletic in the quarterfinals.
In a draw conducted after the Manchester City v Liverpool game, the Pep Guardiola side will be traveling to St. Mary’s to take on Southampton with Nottingham Forest being up against Wolves; Matches will be played the week commencing January 9.

Brighton and Hove Albion were dumped out on penalties against Charlton Athletic on Wednesday night as Manchester United beat Burnley and Nottingham Forest thrashed Blackburn Rovers.
The tournament marked the return of competitive action for the Premier League clubs still involved after the World Cup break. Wolves, Southampton, Newcastle, and Leicester City all advanced on Tuesday evening.
