Harambee Stars opponents, Burundi, has named a 25-man squad for next month’s 2026 World Cup Qualifying game set to be played in Malawi.
Coach Etienne Ndayiragije has gone for a mixture of experience and youth with former Newcastle United man Gael Birigimana set to lead the team in the game that is set for Bingu National Stadium on June 7th 2024.

There is an inclusion of 19-year-old Lucien Delaigle who features in Belgium for RWDM Under 21 side. Richard Kilongozi, who set the Rwanda Premier League ablaze in the just-concluded season, after netting nine goals as a winger also makes the cut.
After match day two, Burundi just as their next opponent Kenya, have three points after beating Gambia 3-2 in their Qualifier opener before going 1-2 down to Gabon. After the Kenya game, they will be travelling to Morocco to face Seychelles four days later.
