Kenya Under 23 side, Emerging Stars, are in the semi finals of the COSAFA 2024 Championship following their 2-0 win over Zimbabwe in a match staged at the Isaac Wolfson Stadium on Tuesday.

After a goalless first half, the Ken Odhiambo side took a 54th-minute lead through Austine Odhiambo after an assist from clubmate and captain Rooney Onyango. It was a Gor Mahia affair as Benson Omala doubles Stars lead with 17 minutes remaining on the clock after pouncing on a long ball from goalkeeper Byrne Omondi.

With the win, Kenya finished Group B with 6 points, tied with Comoros. However, Comoros topped the group on goal difference, advancing to the semi-finals as Group B winners after beating Zambia 1-0 in another match staged at the same time.
