Harambee Stars prospect Bryan Mwangi has left Scottish Premiership side Dundee United on a loan deal until January 2025.

The 18 year old will be joining Lowland League side Broxburn Athletic Football Club as he seeks to get more playing time which couldn’t be guaranteed at his parent club.

“Dundee United can confirm Academy graduate Bryan Mwangi has joined Broxburn Athletic on loan until January,” a statement from his parent club noted. “The midfielder spent last season on loan at The Spartans, he regularly impressed at the Under-18 level and is now part of the first team squad.”

The Scottish Lowland League side, opened their season with a 3-1 win away to Broomhill last week and Mwangi was to make his debut this weekend when he was introduced in the 64th minute as they went 6-2 down to Linlithgow.

While he will be participating in the fifth tier of Scotland football, Mwangi was born in Edinburg, Scotland to a Kenyan father and a Scottish mother has represented Scotland at the junior levels.
