Kenya Under 20 head coach Salim Babu has named a provisional squad of 50 players in preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Under-20 qualifiers in the CECAFA Zone.
The squad which is expected to be trimmed to 23 players will be preparing for the competition slated to take place from October 6th to 20th, 2024, in Tanzania where Kenya is set to open their campaign against the hosts on the opening day of the qualifiers.

The squad boasts a diverse pool of talent from both local and international teams. Notable inclusions are Kenya Under-18 captain Amos Wanjala, who plays for Spain’s Athletic Club Tollerano.
Wanjala’s teammates in the Under-18 team goalkeeper Ibrahim Wanzala (Kakamega Homeboyz), Tyron Kariuki who is currently unattached and a chunk of players picked from High Schools.
