Kenya’s Harambee Stars has climbed six places in the latest Cocacola FIFA Rankings released on Thursday.
The Engin Firat-coached side are now placed 102 in the latest roster having picked four points in their last outing in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers where they earned a vital 0-0 draw against Zimbabwe at home and a 2-1 win over Namibia.

In the CECAFA region, Uganda still leads and remains the only side from the region in the top 100, and are currently placed 90th.
Here’s how Kenya’s latest ranking compares with its neighbours: Uganda – 90, Kenya – 102, Tanzania – 110, Sudan – 120, Rwanda – 130, Burundi – 136, Ethiopia – 145, South Sudan – 172, Djibouti – 192, Somalia – 202, while Eritrea remains unranked.
Kenya’s next challenge is a crucial two-legged tie against Cameroon in the AFCON qualifiers, with one match to be played in Uganda (as Kenya still lacks a CAF-approved stadium) and the other leg in Cameroon.
A win in either of these matches could propel Harambee Stars back into the top 100 and further solidify their position on the continental stage.
These upcoming games offer Kenya a golden opportunity to not only boost their ranking but also enhance their chances of making it to the 2025 AFCON tournament, marking a significant moment in the team’s journey toward football resurgence.
