Salim Babu has named his 20-man squad that will represent the Kenya Under 20 team in the forthcoming Africa Cup of Nations Under 20 Qualifiers, CECAFA Zone.

The tournament is set to take place in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania from October 6-20, 2024 with the finalists set to represent the region in the continental showpiece.

The squad comprises 11 players who represented the nation in last year’s CECAFA Under 18 Tournament that was hosted in Kenya with notable names including captain Amos Wanjala, Tyron Kariuki, Aldrine Kibet, and Ibrahim Wanzala.

Babu has handed new call-ups to Kelly Madada, Lawrence Okoth, Jackson Imbiakha, Phabian Sheldon, and Rodgers Obusu, with Hassan Beja and William Gitamu who featured in the 2024 COSAFA tournament also making the cut.

The Rising Stars are in Group A alongside hosts Tanzania, who they open the campaign against, and Rwanda, Sudan, and Djibouti.
