Kenya’s Harambee Stars finished their 2025 African Cup of Nations Qualifiers with a scoreless draw against Namibia in a clash staged in South Africa on Tuesday 19th November, 2024.
Stars came into the game with nothing to fight for having been denied a chance in the next edition of the Africa Cup of Nations by Zimbabwe last week following a 1-1 draw against the South African side.

Head coach Engin Firat used the Tuesday game to hand striker Alfred Scriven his Harambee Stars first start with captain Michael Olunga rested in one of the few changes made by the Turkish but the fighting spirit in the team lacked for the better part of the tie.
It was also a game that saw Kenya Police FC midfielder Marvin Nabwire get his first cap for the national team having been introduced for Eric Otieno in the 77th minute. Other changes included Daniel Sakari, Jonah Ayunga, Charles Momanyi and Abud Omar coming on for John Avire, Scriven, Johnstone Omurwa and Duke Abuya respectively.
The draw means Kenya finished third in Group J with six points with Namibia finishing last after collecting just two points.
Cameroon finished top of the group on 14 points having beat Zimbabwe 2-1 on Thursday with their opponents joining them in AFCON having finished second on nine points.
