The Kenya Under-20 team has received a new face in Mohammed Habib Sarwari in their camp as they continue with their preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations U20 Tournament.
The player who can play as a left back or as a left center back joined Celta’s annual program last season and has been alternating between training with the RC Celta U19 team and the Celta Academy senior team, competing every week.

In confirming his call-up to the Kenya U20 national team, Celta noted, “Celta Academy player Mohammed Habib Sarwari has been called up by the Kenyan U-20 national team to participate in a preparatory tournament for the Africa Cup of Nations.”
“This call-up marks a historic milestone because Habib is the first player to achieve international status from this RC Celta sports program. The young talent will join the Kenyan expedition in Nairobi on April 10, before traveling to Morocco for the tournament, which will serve as preparation for the eagerly awaited Africa U-20 Cup.”
Habib was present with the Kenya U20 team as they faced FKF Premier League side Kenya Police FC in a friendly match on Wednesday, 9th April 2025, at the Ulinzi Complex in a tie that ended in a 1-1 draw.
