Harambee Stars head coach Benni McCarthy named his provisional squad for upcoming friendlies against Chad earlier in the week.

While the focus has been on the return of midfielder Victor Wanyama, the South African has named a chunk of local based players as he works on finding a proper squad for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) that will host later in the year.

There is a total of five Bandari players in the team; the highest from one club in the group with Kenya Police FC, who are gunning for their first league title, contributing four players to the current crop. Gor Mahia has three with Kariobangi Sharks, Bidco United, Ulinzi Stars, KCB FC, AFC Leopards, Kakamega Homeboyz and FC Talanta giving a player each.

The players are expected to report to camp on Friday, June 2, 2025, to begin preparations for the two matches.
