Burkina Faso has become the latest country to name their squad for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN).
Coached by Issa Balboné, the Stallions will be taking co-hosts Tanzania in the tournament’s opening match on August 2 at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

Being in a group that has Madagascar, Mauritania and Central African Republic too, the team is majorly composed of players from AS Sonabel who has contributed four players while Majestic SC, ASFB, USFA, and Rahimo FC each contribute three players to the squad.
The squad includes notable talents such as Sanou Ladji (AS Sonabel), Belem Enock (Majestic SC), and Barro Cédric (Rahimo FC), who are expected to play key roles in the campaign.

Speaking to CAF Online about his objective in the tournament, Balbone said, “Our objective is clear: we want to go as far as possible in this competition,” said coach Balboné. “The players selected have shown consistency in the domestic league and deserve their place in the squad. Now we have a few weeks to fine-tune preparations before we face Tanzania.”
