Harambee Stars prospect Tyler Onyango has returned to English League One side Stockport County in his bid to get more playing time.
The midfielder who is in the books of Premier League side Everton FC has been a subject this week after Stars coach Benni McCarthy revealed that they had reached out to the player over the possibility of switching allegiance to Kenya.

“We reached out to Everton to get us some information and if the player (Tyler Onyango) would be willing to come and play for Kenya. They spoke to his parents and they showed their desire for him to play for Kenya. But I think it was the timing and the time that we had wasn’t on our side,” McCarthy said.
The 22 year old returns to Edgeley Park for a second spell, having also spent the first half of last season with Dave Challinor’s side where he played ten times for the Hatters in his initial loan term, before an injury sustained in our victory over Forest Green Rovers in November cut his time short.
“Stockport County is delighted to announce the addition of Everton’s Tyler Onyango on a season-long loan deal,” the club noted in a statement.
The Everton U21s regular has previously had loan stints with League One clubs Burton Albion and Forest Green Rovers in 2022-23.
