While most England fans celebrated their emphatic win over Serbia on Tuesday night, goalkeeper Jordan Pickford clocked a milestone.
The Everton shot stopper recorded his 40th clean sheet for his country as they scored five unanswered goals against a Serbia side who had been expected to give them problems.

In what was his 78th cap for the Three Lions, the 31-year-old has climbed up to joint-third when it comes to shut-outs for his national team but still has some distance to reach the record. But who are above him in the order of clean sheets?
Gordon Banks (35)
Banks was the last line of defence for the nation’s 1966 World Cup winners. The former Leicester City and Stoke City shot-stopper recorded 35 clean sheets in his 73 caps.
David Seaman (40)
Seaman held England’s number one position for close to a decade despite a strong competition for the position. The ex-Arsenal goalkeeper was a major part of the side that reached the Euro ’96 semi-final on home soil, earning inclusion in the Team of the Tournament.

Jordan Pickford (40)
Pickford has climbed to joint-third on this list after back-to-back clean sheets this month. England are yet to concede a goal in 2026 World Cup qualification.
