The Uganda U17 Men’s National Team, the Cubs, departed for Dubai, United Arab on Tuesday afternoon for the FIFA U17 World Cup Qatar 2025.
The Cubs will continue with their residential training camp in Dubai in preparation for the tournament scheduled to take place from 3rd -27th November in Qatar.

The contingent of 38 people has 26 players and 12 officials with FUFA Executive Committee Member Rasoul Ariga being the leader of Delegation.
The 10-day international camp marks the final stage of the Cubs’ preparations before they head to Qatar for their historic maiden appearance at the global tournament; the final squad of 21 players for the World Cup will be named at the end of the camp.
While in Dubai, the team will play a series of international friendly matches against top youth sides, with fixtures to be confirmed in the coming days.

The Cubs who have been in camp since 7th October 2025 are in Group K alongside Canada, Chile and France. Uganda’s opening fixture is against Canada on 5th November 2025.
