At Gusii Stadium, a controvercial penalty by Brian Michira was all Shabana FC needed to overcome visiting Bandari FC 1-0 as Peter Okidi got the better of his former assistant Bernard Mwalala.

Before the goal, another controvercial decision arose from the game when Bandari had a legitimate goal disallowed for offside. Darius Msagha had found the back of the net only for the assistant referee Jane Cherono to chop it off with an offside call.
