Gor Mahia striker Benson Omala has made the Kenya U20 final squad named by head coach Stanley Okumbi that will represent the country in the forthcoming CECAFA U20 championship.
The Championships is set to be played from Sunday, November 22, to December 2, 2020, in Arusha, Tanzania with the finalist qualifying for the upcoming AFCON U20 Championship.
The team has players who were promoted from Kenya’s U17 squad that represented the nation in the 2019 Africa U17 Cup of Nations Qualifiers, and the Union of North African Federations (UNAF) U17 tournament in Egypt in 2019.

These players include Maxwell Mulili, Bixente Otieno, Boniface Mwangemi, Alphonse Omija, Kevintom Machika, and Nicholas Omondi.
The team who will leave the country on Friday entered residential camp on Tuesday 17 November and played their last friendly clash against Premier League side AFC Leopards on Wednesday; a match they lost 3-2.
Apart from the Leopards game, the team played against Kibera Black Stars a game they lost 4-2, won 3-1 and 2-1 respectively in back to back friendlies against Sudan drew with Gor Mahia 0-0 and won 2-1 against KCB.
The team is in Group C of the tournament alongside Ethiopia and Sudan of the regional showpiece.

Forwards: Benson Omala, Kevinton Machika, Henry Meja, Sellasie Otieno.
