Harambee Stars striker Michael Olunga scored his 25th goal of the season as Kashiwa Reysol ran 4-1 winners over Kashima Antlers on Wednesday after in the Japanese J1 League.

 

Visitors Reysol were handed the lead in the 26th minute when Leo Silva turned the ball in his own net; a goal that was the difference in the first half. Antlers however restored parity in the 56th minute in the same fashion as the first goal of the match this after Kim Seung-Gyu scored an own goal of his own.

Olunga, however, restored his team’s lead 15 minutes from time with a well-taken goal with Cristiano and substitute Kamiya scoring Kashiwa’s other goals.

 

The goal was Olunga’s 25th in his 26th appearance with the former Gor Mahia and Tusker FC striker hoping that he can bag the golden boot when the season ends in December.

 

The league, however, has been won by Kawasaki Frontale who managed a 5-0 win over Gamba Osaka on Wednesday.

 

The win sees Frontale points tally rise to 75; 17 points above second-placed Osaka who are currently on 58 points with five games left to the end of the season.
