Kenya U20 head coach Stanley Okumbi has expressed his disappointment after his side failed to qualify for the 2021 AFCON U20 Championship.
Kenya was denied a final slot by Uganda Hippos in the semifinal and according to Okumbi, they picked vital lessons that would help them in the coming competitions.

βAs a team, we are disappointed in our performance but have learned vital lessons that will help shape us up for our next competition,β Okumbi is quoted by the Federation portal.
Kenya finished fourth in the competition after losing 2-1 to South Sudan in the third-place playoff with Uganda and Tanzania being the teams that will represent East Africa in the competition that will be held in Mauritania from 14 Februaryβ4 March 2021.
The Kenya U20 team jetted back in the country on Thursday and concentration for the young boys will now turn to their clubs who have already Kicked the season with league games.
