Gor Mahia captain Kenneth Muguna is confident that his team will emerge victorious when they take on Tusker FC in a rescheduled Betking Premier League fixture on Wednesday.
Gor were set to meet the brewers in the opening day of the season but the tie was cancelled due to Kogalo’s participation in the CAF Champions League and their reluctance to sign the StarTimes broadcast deal.
Ahed of the tie slated for Kasarani Stadium from 3 pm, Muguna admitted they will have to work hard if they are to pick the points but was encouraged by how they had started the season.

“It’s another tough test just as the Ulinzi game but I’m confident of a win. They are coming on a back of a huge win (against Western Stima) but we have started the season well too so I believe it’s a tie that we are looking forward too,” Muguna told Pepeta.
The club captain further stated that theirs is to take each game at a time and it was too early to talk about their title defence with AFC leopards being on top of the league.
“To be sincere we are not worried about teams who are on top of the pile because it is too early in the season. Ours is to ensure that we win games and at Gor Mahia that’s our duty. Let’s talk about the tile quest later in the season,” he added.
Gor opened their season with a 1-0 win over Ulinzi Stars in the weekend this after making it to the first round of the CAF Champions League at the expense of Rwanda’s APR.
