2009 Kenyan Premier League champions Sofapaka have appointed Ken Odhiambo as their head coach the club has confirmed.
Odhiambo comes in to replace John Baraza who parted ways with the team last month.

On his arrival, the former Bandari FC head coach said: “Am very delighted to join Sofapaka Club. This a big club and the ambitions are so clear, when the president talked to me I felt a good opportunity to join the club and help achieve her targets.
“The club has a good set of players who are very talented, skillful and of good quality, I believe they capable of achieving a lot. When the president reached out to me, his desires were so clear for the club and that is winning the title. This what made it easier for me to decide on joining the club.”
The arrival of Odhiambo means that coach Mike Muiruri who has been in charge of the team on a temporary basis reverts back to his role as the assistant coach of the team.
