Tusker FC midfielder Apollo Otieno has backed his team to clinch this season’s Kenyan Premier League title.
Placed third in the league, the Robert Matano side have only lost one game and according to Apollo, everyone is determined to help the team achieve the goal.

“There is a lot of work going on in training and everyone is confident. Personally I have set my goals and all I want to do is to ensure that I reach the next level. Everyone is focused not only in training but in games too. We are going for the title and if we can be disciplined and conscious about what we want to do then nothing is impossible,” Apollo said.
The midfielder further believes that the experience they have in the team will be beneficial for their goals as he welcomed competition in midfield.
“We have players like Macharia (Jackson), Mieno (Humphrey) and Sempala (Hashim) who have the required experience and their guidance has been great. They know what to do when and that has been helpful to the team. They provide proper competition for the midfield position and that’s what you want as a player. It is something that is healthy for the team,” the midfielder added.
Tusker are set to face Kariobangi Sharks this week and a win against their opponents will reduce the gap between them and the leaders to one point.
