AFC Leopards coach Anthony Kimani has resigned from his role at the club Pepeta can confirm.

 

Kimani who has been in charge of the team on an interim basis since head coach Thomas Trucha left the club in December was on the touchline when Leopards held arch-rivals Gor Mahia to a goalless draw on Sunday afternoon at the MISC Kasarani.

He leaves his role for Belgian Patrick Aussems who was part of the fans that watched the Sunday game; the Belgian having been handed over the reigns of the team earlier in the week.

 

Leopards had intimated that they were to fund Kimani’s coaching badges this year but according to Pepeta sources, this won’t be the case with Kimani expected to be out for some time before deciding on his next move.
