Kenya U23 Emerging Stars coach Stanley Okumbi has included ten new faces to his team currently preparing for the CECAFA U23 Tournament set for July.

 

While the tournament is reserved for players under the age of 23, each team is allowed a maximum of three senior players with Okumbi taking the opportunity to hand a call up to other faces.

The new faces called to the team include Kakamega Homeboyz forward David Odhiambo, Bandari’s Abdalla Hassan, defenders Harun Mwale, and Bernard Ochieng, AFC Leopards duo of Lewis Bandi and Austine Ochieng, Wazito’s Musa Masika, Gor Mahia’s Frank Odhiambo, and Alpha Onyango and Bandari’s Keegan Ndemi.

 

The team has been scheduled to depart on June 30, in time for the regional showpiece set to be played between July 3, and July 18, 2021, in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia.
