Harambee Stars defender Eric ‘Marcelo’ Ouma has been nominated for the defender of the year award in the Allsvenskan for the 2021 season.
Ouma who has been a revelation for AIK this season where they lost the title to Malmo through a goal difference will fight fellow teammate Alexander Milosevic and Djugardens Hjalmar Ekdal for the award.

In the season, Ouma managed one goal and eight assists in the 29 games he played; the defender receiving four yellow cards in the process.
His sterling performances had seen him linked with a move away from AIK with the club having admitted that they would listen to offers for the player if the right deal came.
