Harambee Starlets striker Cynthia Shilwatso is looking to help her side to promotion after returning to training.
Shilwatso has been out with an injury for six months in a duration that saw her Logorono side demoted to Segunda Division Femenina (Spanish second division) this season. While the team is currently placed third on 24 points, six points below leaders Levante, Shilwatso believes they have all it takes to earn promotion.

“We are in a good position currently and I believe in the team that we have. We belong to the top flight and that’s where we want to be. With this group and the coaches we have, everything we have set to do is achievable,” Shilwatso told Pepeta.
On her injury, she said: “Being out for long isn’t something you’d wish on any player because you wake up each day with a lot of questions. The team signed players and I believe those who have played so far have done a good job. I don’t expect to get into the team immediately as I am just coming out from an injury but I know with hard work I’ll be in soon.”
“The six months were tough but I have to thank my coaches and teammates for spurring me on. It was sad to see us go down when you know you can help but I think the setback has been a motivation this season.”
Logrono has a date with Parquesol in their next league tie slated for Saturday 11, December.
