Kisumu Allstarlets started the new season on a negative note after going 0-1 down to visiting Nakuru City Queens in a game played on Sunday at Moi Stadium-Kisumu.

Starlets had glorious opportunities to turn the game in their favor but couldn’t find a response to Ruth Chebungei’s 20th-minute strike.

In another match played on Sunday, Zetech Sparks saw off Wadadia 3-0 in a match played at GEMS Cambridge. Momaliza Amango, Violet Otieno, and Yvonne Khavere netted their goals in the 4th, 73rd, and 78th minute to earn  Zetech Sparks their first win of the season.

On Saturday, the returning Neddy Akoth was among the goalscorers as Ulinzi Starlets thumped  Trans Nzoia Falcons 4-0 at the Ulinzi Sports Complex.

Siliya Rasoha opened the goal proceedings in the 15th minute with Lucy Nato doubling the lead in the 33rd minute as the soldiers raced to a 2-0 lead at the halftime break. Rasoha was to grab Ulinzi’s third and her brace in the 58th minute before Neddy closed the scoring chapter in the dying minutes of the tie.
