Al Ahly will have a chance to revenge on Mamelodi Sundowns after both teams were placed in Group B of this season’s CAF Champions League.
Both teams were grouped together last season with Sundowns finishing the group unbeaten, hitting Ahly home and away; Sudan’s Al Hilal and Cameroon’s Cotonsport are the other teams to join them this time.

Defending champions Wydad Athletic Club have been drawn in Group A where they will be up against last season’s group opponents Petro de Luanda. They will be joined in the group by Congolese side AS Vita Club and Algeria’s JS Kabylie, both of who are returning to the group phase after a long spell out.
