Harambee Stars striker Ismael Dunga is set to be a free agent with his contract with Japanese J1 League side Sagan Tosu set to end today Saturday 31st December 2022

Dunga signed a two-year deal with Tosu in January 2021 after joining them from Albania side KF Vllanznia but found games hard to come by with the club sending him on a loan deal to Japanese J3 side Kamatamare Sanuki in February this year.

In his first and only season at Tosu, the former Sony Sugar FC man managed just nine appearances with all coming as a substitute. In total, he managed just 84 minutes and was an unused substitute in ten games. The last time that Dunga featured in the league came on October 3, 2021 for Sagan Tosu against Tokushima Vortis; a match that he played 19 minutes in during a 3-0 loss.

At Sanuki where he was on loan for the better part of this year, Dunga managed four appearances with only one start. He clocked 77 minutes and was an unused sub in five games.

The traveled striker has featured for a chunk of teams locally and abroad and it remains to be seen where his next station might be.
