Borussia Dortmund striker Sebastien Haller made his long-awaited comeback on Tuesday afternoon in his club’s friendly match 5-1 win over Dusseldorf.

Haller appeared off the bench in the second half to replace Youssoufa Moukoko for his first outing for Dortmund since last July, having completed his treatment and recovery from a testicular tumour.

That issue was discovered last summer just weeks after he completed a big money move from Ajax, after Haller complained of feeling unwell during pre-season training.

As a result, he has yet to make a single competitive appearance for the German giants but is in line to feature later this month when domestic action resumes.
