Manchester United are in talks with striker Marcus Rashford over the possibility of handing him a new five-year deal.

The English forward is currently in the form of his life and while he is one of the club’s highest earners, the Sun reports that United wants to hand the player a new deal worth £ 300,000 per week.

Rashford has netted 16 goals and provided six assists in 26 appearances in all competitions this season and scored the winner against their arch-rivals Manchester City on Saturday and the club believes he should be rewarded with a new deal with clubs like PSG said to be monitoring his situation at Old Trafford.

The 25-year-old current contract is set to expire in less than 10 months, although the club has the option to extend it by another year; the England international currently earns £200K per week at Old Trafford.

According to the reports, United is prepared to offer him a 50 percent pay rise with further incentives to extend his stay in Manchester. However, they will not break their pay structure.

The England international has scored a goal in each of his previous four top-flight matches and will hope for the same outing when they visit Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.
