Sports journalist Carol Radull and former Harambee Stars striker Boniface Ambani have been appointed to the Talanta Hela Sports committee for a period of three years.
The committee gazetted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Sports and the Arts seek to nurture young talents in order to grow the sector and propel the country into a sporting giant in the region.

“It is notified for the general information of the public that following the Presidential pronouncement on the 12th December 2022 of government plans to revitalize sports and creative economy through the revolutionary Talanta Hela initiative, the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Youth Affairs, the Arts and Sports has established Talanta Hela Council and its Technical Committees for Sports and the creatives, respectively, comprising the following,” part the notice stated.
Radull will chair the Sports technical committee with Ambani being a member together with Julius Yego, Neddy Kutsuru, Alfred Makotsi, Sammy Shollei, Collins Kale, Kevin Mutai, Shilovelo Shilavula, Daniel Losiru, and Staicy Ochieng.
Comedian Daniel Ndambuki alias Churchill will chair the creatives technical committee that has among others Azziad Nasenya as its member.
In a previous presser, Cabinet Secretary of Sports Ababu Namwamba said the programme will be rolled out as a joint initiative between the national and all the county governments and is expected to take the development of local sports to the next level.
