Harambee Stars defender Joash Onyango managed to feature in the entire game as Simba SC began her CAF Champions League journey with a 0-1 loss to Horoya on Saturday night.
The all-important goal was scored by Pape Abdou Ndiaye in the 18th minute with Simba lucky not to concede a second after keeper Aishi Manula saved a penalty in the second half of the game.

Simba is the second team from East Africa to lose their opening game after Vipers SC, who are in their group, shipped five goals against Raja Casablanca on Friday night; an outing that leaves them placed bottom of Group C.

On Friday, AIK, home to Kenyan duo of Eric Otieno and Collins Sichenje finished their Portugal preseason camp with a 2-1 loss against FC København. The team now shifts its attention to the Swedish Cup where they are set to face Asteras in the coming weekend.
