Saudi Arabia club Al-Ittihad are doing everything at its disposal to ensure that Lionel Messi competes with his nemesis Cristiano Ronaldo for one more time before his retirement.

Messi is yet to sign a new deal with French giants PSG with his future being a subject of speculation with reports emerging that MLS side Inter Miami was among the clubs interested in acquiring his services.

Reports suggested that Al Hilal were interested in signing Messi in the summer and were planning to tempt him by offering a deal worth $300 million and they will be back for the player this summer reports Joan Fontes.

As per the update, the Middle Eastern outfit are ready to make the seven-time World Cup winner the highest-paid player of all time by offering him a massive two-year contract worth €88 million per season.

The 35-year-old however still remains keen on playing at the highest level in Europe with FC Barcelona said to be keen on re-signing the Argentine who spent the better part of his career in Camp Nou.
